Give the Gift of Clean Water This Christmas

MAfr 2024christmas header

As we celebrate the Christmas season, we are reminded of the true meaning of giving—bringing hope, joy, and life to those in need. This year, we are focusing our efforts on a critical issue: access to clean water. In many parts of Africa, families, schools, and communities still struggle to find safe, clean drinking water. Waterborne diseases remain a constant threat, especially for children, and many people must walk long distances to collect water, often from unsafe sources.

With your support, we can make a significant difference. Your generous donation this Christmas will help fund essential water projects across Africa—providing boreholes, wells, and water tanks that bring clean water to communities that desperately need it. One such project is at College Notre Dame D’Afrique in Atakpamé, Togo, where over 500 students face the daily challenge of collecting unsafe water, putting their health at risk.

Through our Christmas Appeal, we aim to raise the funds necessary to build safe water sources for these students and other vulnerable communities. The Missionaries of Africa are committed to bringing clean, drinkable water to those who need it most, but we cannot do it alone. We need your help to ensure that these life-saving projects become a reality.

This Christmas, join us in the mission to make clean water accessible to all. Your support will not only provide water—it will provide health, dignity, and hope for a brighter future.

Together, we can make this Christmas season one of lasting change. Thank you for your generosity, and for making a profound difference in the lives of those who need it most.

This year, we are focusing our efforts on a critical issue: access to clean water.

Dear Friend,

As Christmas approaches, we reflect on the true spirit of giving and invite you to be part of something deeply impactful this holiday season. Your support can help transform lives across Africa by providing access to clean, safe drinking water—an essential resource that so many people still lack.

This Christmas, we are focused on addressing the critical need for clean water in schools and communities across the continent. At institutions like College Notre Dame D’Afrique in Atakpamé, Togo, over 500 students face the daily struggle of collecting water from unsafe, contaminated sources. This puts their health at risk and creates barriers to their education and well-being. Sadly, this situation is not unique—there are countless other communities facing similar challenges.

Through our Christmas Appeal, we aim to fund projects that will provide these communities with access to clean, safe water. Your generous support will help us build boreholes, install water tanks, and establish sustainable water sources in schools and villages across Africa. These projects will ensure that students and families no longer have to walk miles to find water that jeopardizes their health.

The Missionaries of Africa have seen firsthand the difference that access to clean water can make. In addition to improving health and reducing the risk of waterborne diseases, clean water allows children to focus on their studies and thrive in school, without the constant worry of illness or a lack of basic resources.

Your past contributions have already made a tremendous difference, and we are so grateful for your support. But as the need for clean water grows, we ask you to consider giving again this Christmas. Your gift can be the key to improving lives in communities where water scarcity continues to be a major challenge.

This Christmas, your donation will provide more than just water—it will provide hope, health, and a future. Clean, drinkable water is not a privilege but a basic human right, and together, we can ensure it becomes a reality for those who need it most.

We thank you for your continued generosity, and we pray that this Christmas brings you peace, joy, and a renewed sense of purpose as we work together to create lasting change.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Christopher Anderson
